From Google's AI:
HP error code "B87E43CC" typically indicates a problem with the printer's internal communication system, often related to a faulty printhead or carriage assembly, and usually requires professional service to diagnose and repair. [1, 2, 3]
- Check for obvious issues: [2, 3, 4]
- Restart the printer: Turn off the printer completely, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on. [1, 5]
- Contact HP Support: Since this error code is usually a sign of a hardware problem, reach out to HP customer support for further troubleshooting steps or to arrange a repair service. [1, 2, 3]
- Faulty printhead: The printhead might be malfunctioning, causing communication errors with the printer. [2, 3]
- Carriage assembly issues: A problem with the carriage mechanism that moves the printhead across the paper could be causing the error. [3]
- Internal wiring issues: Damaged or loose internal wiring within the printer may be disrupting communication. [1, 2, 3]
- Firmware corruption: In rare cases, outdated or corrupted printer firmware could lead to this error. [1, 2, 3]
Generative AI is experimental.
Unplug from wall, press power power on switch 2-3 times, wait 60 seconds and plug back in.

In most cases this is caused by a failed firmware stick which sits on the formatter board. You can purchase it through the HP Parts Store. It might be a bad formatter but in most cases it is the part listed below.
Part you need is CQ890-67105
