Every time I print a photo from my phone or Ipad its stuck in a black & white setting, offering no option to print in color. So the photo is in color, but when I send it to print, it automatically goes black & white to print. How do I change this? It wasn't doing this before.

Hi @DedeeM,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is consistently printing in black and white instead of color, even though the photo is in color, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.
Check Printer Settings on Mobile Device:
- On your phone or iPad, go to the print settings before sending the print job.
- Look for an option that allows you to select color or grayscale printing. Ensure that the color option is selected.
Printer App Settings:
- If you are using a specific HP printing app, check the app settings to make sure it is configured to print in color.
- Open the HP printer app on your mobile device and navigate to the settings or preferences section. Look for an option related to color printing.
Printer Settings on Computer:
- If you are printing from a computer, check the printer settings on the computer.
- Open the print dialog box and make sure that the color option is selected.
Printer Display Panel:
- Check the display panel on your HP printer. Look for any settings or options related to color printing.
- Navigate through the printer menu to find color settings and ensure that color printing is enabled.
Printer Driver Update:
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues.
- Visit the official HP website and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
Reset Printer Settings:
- If none of the above steps work, you may want to reset the printer settings to default.
- Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to reset the settings. This may vary depending on the printer model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
