I have a problem with my z3200, when I turn it on the screen only shows the number stuck at 54%. I've tried hard restarting several times, and cleaning the copper formatter and HDD, but the results are still the same.

I've tried reading the HDD on the Linux operating system, it turns out there are bad sectors. And I can't go deeper because of the password.

Does anyone know the password on the HDD Rev. B, it looks like the password is made differently for each plotter series.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.

Based on my time spent on this board I am going to say that this is not a likely place to find information like that. I suggest you search around for a forum specifically populated by Designjet users who have spent time backward engineering them. You might also try a sector to sector copy using a direct copy device that simply reads the drive and copies to another drive.

If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution easier by marking my post as an accepted solution. Clicking "yes" on "was this reply helpful" also increases the chances that this solution will help others.

Thanks for your reply.

It should be that easy to duplicate, if the file is not password.

The password on the HDD is what makes us unable to clone/copy file the HDD, unless it is formatted by the HP (because there is a password)
