Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had my Designjet  500 24" roll printer for many years.  Use it rarely. In think the ink register is fouled up. Uses 82 series ink cartridges.  It won't print cyan, but says it has plenty. Prints streaked pinkish instead of blue. And it says red and black are low, but prints black strongly. Although the red is a little streaked. And green is streaked.  These cartridges have been in there for years.    So: Does HP program ink to expire after a while?
