Z9 + 24 inch

Hello - just purchased a Z9 24" - I am only looking to use it to print in greyscale/black - I already replaced the PB, MB and Grey ink, however all the other colored ink cartridges are low or empty.  When I replaced the Black printhead it goes through the initiation process but it won't finish because the other ink cartridges are low and need to be replaced.  Is there anyway to override this? I am not looking to prink in color

No you cannot run with only black cartridges.

What I have found is that if you want to save on Ink, Dont use the Canned Profiles with HP. If you are running just B/W or Grey Scale, and your Coverage is Arch Plans Lines and text go with the 70lb profile. Right now the Media Profile site is down on HP so you cant get anything lighter than 70lb. I would try that. Unfortunately It takes all the Carts to create a Vacuum on the lines so it uses everything to make black.  Good Luck! 🙂
