DESIGNJET T120
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

T120 Designjet  cutter started scraping loudly after each cut - Is that the cutter or is that the metal rod that may need lubrication?  2yr. old printer.  Which is proper lubricant, if, in fact, lubrication can be applied to equipment?

Typically a noisy cutter is the result of a bad cutter and not a lubrication issue. A gear may have cracked in the cutter mechanism and you will need to replace the cutter. CQ890-67108

This is the internal view of a broken cutter.
