Product: HP Designjet 510 42 in Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

It tells me to add/open the printer. I opened the print cue in HP Utility and it says it is open. I can work around this by printing from Preview or Acrobat, but I miss the print controls in Photoshop. I've saved the file as Photoshop, jpec and even PDF. Photoshop refuses. I bought this printer in Switzerland while living there and moved it to the USA with my other stuff. Is this a problem?

First, check connection.... should use usb cable & direct to printer.

 

2nd  you need to check the driver installed properly & see it is online.... 

 

if printer driver not install properly or no connection to printer.   CC will never work.

 

if nothing work... remove printer from the printer property... reboot computer..... pay attention to screen & see

your os found the printer & install driver automatically....   if not found & bad connection.

 

 

this is the most basics...
