In scanning a legal document with a flourescent sticky arrow pointing to the signature spot, the arrow came off. It is now stuck somewhere. When I try to scan or copy anything, a bright yellow line shows up on the left side of the scanned or copied paper. I need to remove it. How?

Welcome to the Hp support forums. I read the post and am willing to help.
I understand that an arrow came of some scanned document and is stuck somewhere which is impeding subsequent scans.
To remove it, please use a flashlight and a magnifier in good lighting conditions.
I have included the printer's user guide link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02495504 and that might help as it clearly illustrates all the parts of the printer.
This link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-7500a-wide-format-e-all-in-one-printer-series-e910... (HP Printers - Improving Scan Quality) should also help as it gives instructions to clean certain parts of the scanner.
If the issue persists, I will send you a private message to assist you with the next course of action. Check your forum private message box in the upper right corner next to the bell icon.
Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
