Hi designjet t520 24”
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

If I remove printhead and properly flush out the reservoirs would it be possible to use solvent ink in cartridges and print on vinyl. Finding it very difficult to get information on where to start with this project?

thanks for any info guys and gals.

regards

willie

Hi

i’m sorry I don’t understand this suggestion. It doesn’t seem related to my question and doesn’t explain why I shouldn’t use solvent ink plus your promoted product doesn’t seem relevant to my situation.

thanks

This device is not designed for solvent applications. You may find 3rd party companies or DIY forums for that, but I think you would be more successful searching for answers on a forum that caters to that type of experimenting.

I´m also interested on this. It seems some plastics may be damaged by solvent. Don´t know if eco solvent inks would be fine. Also, would need to clean very frequently to prevent printhead to plug.

good luck
