86:01 is a carriage movement error. When the printer is turned ON do you have any movements or noise?

Make sure the carriage can move freely from left to right.

Hi

This can be caused by the brlt spring tension not being done up tightly or the belt us off yhe pulley

The carriage bangs against this rather than the stop, then assumes its hit the stop.

It then gets confused and gives up thinking the carriage is out of position

It is,possible for the belt to  be derailed as well

the steel guide was dirty and the printhead did not detect the movement. need to think about removing fingerprints I think....But now the printer starts fine but it's reports "incorrect loading, remove paper"..but there is no paper in the machine

once again, thanks for your help

best regards

Dominique
