HP DesignJet T230 24-in Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Sometimes when I print, the print is portrait instead of landscape.  I am printing a C-size document which should print 24" across on the full width of the printer and 18" long.  The T230 HP print preview shows exactly this, but the print comes out 18" wide and 24" long, so half the paper is wasted.  The actual print is ~22" x 12" and the preview shows it truncated to the size of the print, printing across the paper, but when it prints it rotates to the other orientation.

When I tell it paper is "C" it is more likely to work than when I tell it ARCH-C size.  The former is 17 x 22 and the latter 18 x 24.  Sometimes "C" works, but not always.  ARCH-C never works.

How do I make it print the way the preview shows?

I believe the driver is messed up since the last update. ive fixed it in the mean time by downloading the print preview app and manually turning the print

The print preview shows it correct.  Are you saying rotate it to the incorrect orientation in PP?

That gave me an idea.  I changed the rotation from "Auto" to "0 deg." and that fixed the problem.  Apparently the print preview is defective, changing the orientation from what it "previews" to print something else.

Thanks!

yeah there is something wrong with hp drivers. i submitted a ticket to  my cad program and they did an investigation that showed the hp driver is just deciding to rotate my prints. this has been happening since the drive updated in jan.
