Hi all,
I have a t520 plotter which seems to work fine but occasionally on start up I get a message saying there is a problem with the printhead and to either reseat or replace it, reseating the print head always fixes the issue enabling me to print but after a week or so I’ll get the same message again. I can live with the problem but ideally I’d like to fix it for good. Any ideas? Using a genuine print head and genuine inks. Printer was manufactured May 2017. Firmware is up to date. It has had a new printhead which resulted in the same message so don’t now think it’s an issue with the print head itself.
Thanks,
Chris

Good morning,
I suggest to perform below fixes:
from Support Menu: how to access: enter into the support menu by pressing the power button for 15 seconds.
Perform OOBE Reset from Support Menu:
- Scroll down to Resets, and then touch Reset OOBE.
Perform Hard Reset :
- Scroll down to Resets, and then touch Hard reset.
- Enter the password 3746 when prompted to initiate the hard reset.
Perform Printhead startup condition :
- Access 3.5 'Reset PHA Startup Condition'.
- Type 'PIN' number 2873, and select OK.
- if failed the plotter needs a service repair.

Thanks for you help.
I have tried these tests and get the fail message on the last test (Reset PHA Startup Condition)
The printer has a had a new printhead and gets the same error so i believe it is either the Trailing Ribbon Cable or the Carriage PCB?
Thanks
Chris.
