Hi @MarionSaroni,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer is consistently printing documents too large when printing from the glass top, there are a few potential solutions you can try:

Check Print Settings:

  • Make sure that your print settings are configured correctly. When you go to print a document, check the print settings to ensure that the paper size and document scaling options are set correctly.

Paper Size Settings:

  • Confirm that the paper size selected in both your printer settings and the software you're using to print matches the actual size of the paper loaded into the printer. If there is a mismatch, it can result in scaling issues.

Scaling Options:

  • Disable any scaling options in the print settings. Look for settings like "Fit to Page" or "Scale to Fit" and turn them off. This ensures that the document is printed at its actual size.

Page Setup:

  • Check the page setup settings in the software you are using to print (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat). Make sure the page size is set correctly.

Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed. Outdated or incompatible drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.

Calibrate Printer:

  • Some printers have a calibration option in their settings. Refer to  user manual to see if there is a calibration procedure, and follow the instructions provided.

Test Print:

  • Print a test page with a simple document or image to see if the size issue persists. This can help you determine if the problem is specific to certain documents or a general printing problem.

Reset Printer:

  • Try turning off your printer, waiting a few moments, and then turning it back on. This simple reset may help resolve any temporary glitches.

Check for Updates:

  • Check for firmware updates for your printer. HP may release updates that address performance or compatibility issues. Click Here

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
