Hi,

I am trying to print a document in A1, I had two documents to print and the first one was fine but the second will not print. It keeps saying that it needs to use the multi sheet tray instead of the roll. I have selected 'roll' as the paper source on both the printer and pdf file and in every preference box. If I tell it to print anyway it just rolls out 6" of paper and cuts it off!! I have tried to check my drivers but seeing as it printed the first page and not the second I can't see that that would be the problem. But when I download the drivers they won't install anyway, they download and then I get messages in Spanish, but it won't move on to the installation screens. But as I said, I don't think this is the problem anyway.

My second problem is that the multi sheet feeder won't feed paper and actually stopped working within the first couple of months of me owning the printer. It tries to feed the paper through but can't seem to grip it. It is just normal plain paper. There doesn't seem to be any way of getting in to the feeder to check what the problem is as all of the parts are fixed.

I don't often use the sheet feeder so I'm not over concerned but it is an annoying niggle.

The issue I deperately need fixed is to be able to print to A1 as with the two problems combined I can't prit anything at the moment!!!

Thanks

Claire

stupid bloody website refresh........  ive just spent 35 minutes typing in all the technical details, preferences property sizes, settings, layout, driver versions etc etc etc    then the web page automatically refreshed and cleared all the data.

HP,  i have the same issue...

i have the latest firmware (AXP2CN1623AR), drivers (also tried v2), win10 x64, instant printing software etc   it always want to use the multi sheet tray no matter what i try or if i try and print from excel, pdf or instant printing software.

All setting are default from install.  ive tried setting layout to landscape, paper size to A1 but no difference.

HP Please Assist.

Hi Natsud

I posted the orginal complaint on here but as I hadn't had any solutions I've managed to sort it myself. I've found that it depends where I'm sending the document to print from. If I send from Adobe (which I usially do) it won't let me print on the roll and ignores the settings but if I save the file to another program (which isn't always possible given the file types that I deal with) then it will print. It's not really a solution as it doesn't fix the problem but might be worth a try if you're really stuck?

Good luck

Hi,

After 3hrs of messing about I got so fedup i called HP this morning (16/06/2017).  Where i was told there is a bug in the utility software.

This fixed my problem.

connect the printer on the network (i used LAN cable)

i was told to update firmware and uninstall the designjet utility software and reboot pc.

remove old printer and install a new printer

using the PCL3 driver from there website

in preferences set Document Size to A1 - Paper source to Roll - Paper type to Plain

in advance TAB, printing prefences set Document Size to A1 - Paper source to Roll - Paper type to Plain

if you have a document that is the same width as A1 but longer than A1 you can do the following...

select Document Size to A1 -- click custom -- change the length to the required length  -- give it a new name (i called mine Projects) -- click save

(do this in both places -- in preferences and advance TAB printing prefences)

rebbot

open excel or whatever (Excel in my case)... ctrl P to print

select the DJ T120

select Active Work Sheet  (is its just the sheet you need)

change A4 to the custom name you just saved  (Projects in my case)

click print

hope this helps someone.
