Hi Everybody,

I have a DJ Z6 PS. When I turn on , plotter only turns on power supply's fan and no display in panel, no diagnostics LED's, no movement, nothing. Just fan.

Retired the box with main card+ power supply and could not see anything wrong just by looking at. I can see the power supply is 80 plus Platinum certified so I reasonably expect power supply is not the problem, even if it looks like the culprit. But if not, would it be the main card?

Any ideas?

Regards

If no lights on formatter then either PS, power switch or formatter.

Test for 12V on J8 connector, the blue wire. If bad, replace power supply

Test to see if orange light comes on on power button, if not, replace power button

if above test ok, replace formatter.

Thanks for reply!

Took out the E-BOX and then the power supply.

The PS has 3 connectors: 2 4 pin and 1 6 pin. The 4 pin connectors give 12V. The other is for control, I suppose. Short circuited 2 pins in control connector and turned on. Don´t know the purpose of the other pins.

Why do you think it could be power button? When I press it, fan starts and button is iluminated. Does it do other things?

Does the switch stay light? Is the green power led in the power supply on?

Hi,

Before I uninstalled the ebox, I think the light stayed on when pressed button.

Hi Reparatrooper,

Sorry not to answer your comment. Finally I got hold of the failing plotter.

You told me to Test for 12V on J8 connector, the blue wire, but I don´t see any J8 connector. Are you refering to one of the 4 pin connectors?

Regards
