T520
Microsoft Windows 11

When the T520 is switched on it boots to the HP logo (which is orange colored then) and then the logo goes around and around forever.

When I unplug the printer 2 or 3 times then the printer boots correctly and starts then with the normal blue logo and it works correctly then and it prints.

Has anyone seen this phenomenon. Is it the firmware-stick on the board?

The firmware stick on board failure usually results in a blue screen with a numerical error. Could be a corruption in firmware, have you tried updating the firmware?

Thank you.

No I havn't updated the firmware.

I want to take this firmware USB drive with me if i visit the customer to update the firmware.

If its not the firmware I want to replace the USB Firmware Stick.

But I'm not sure because there are two different firmware releases of this machine.

Product code of the plotter is CQ893C and partsurfer says USB drive has number CQ890-67118.

But can I also use

CQ890-67105 ?

this one. Because the ..118 is not in stock at the supplier.

According to HP Part Surfer the alternate part number you list is compatible with the following product numbers. Keep in mind that within a single model, there can be different product numbers if there are multiple revisions of the same product, so confirm with client that the product number on the back of the device is one of the following.

Thank you.

Sorry, I should have told here that I've searched for the designjet via the Serial number and found it and parts list shows me that

CQ890-67118 is the correct spare parts number. So I must rely on this I guess.

Sadly not all HP documentation gets updated properly. If the model number on the serial number sticker matches any of the 3 models shown in the screen shot from my post then that part will work.
