Your instructions worked for resetting the the Plotter as far as removing all of my network settings, but it did not reset the Admin password. That's why I was trying to cold reset it. I'm unable to do a firmware update, due to the fact that I don't know the password.......

How do you remove the Admin Password...

printer has adminstrater password ??  i never knew about it  ??

Administrator password might from you Windows or pc cmos setup which require different approach. check & specify carefully.

I set the password..... You have to set the password under the "Setup\Security" tab..., but if you set it under the "Network\Security tap....it will not let you back in..... on the LaserJet CP4025, I was able to reset it with no problem, but the Z3200 (and I have 4 of them),  it will not reset when I do the cold reset...  I am using Windows base system.

I will try on my Z3200 44" & give you a reply later
