When scanning/copying single or multipage docs irrespective of paper weight the feeder jams. Even using unfolded or recently printed paper I cannot prevent this

Is this the top feeder tray that holds the originals or the lower tray that feeds in the blank paper?

For the top tray, if you flip open the top tray cover, find the roller that feeds the original into the machine and wipe it down with a damp cloth.  Also wipe the little piece of cork that the roller pinches the paper against.  Sometime dust from the paper will collect on these surfaces and cause the roller not to grip the paper when feeding into the machine.

Same thing on the bottom tray.  Little trickier to do but doable.

I don't work for HP....I just repair their printers.
