HP Latex 365 Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

The color sensor was replaced with part #B4H70-67106 by a an equipment dealer.  I  am not able to do a color calibration.  There are 2 error messages 1) the firmware is not compatible with the color sensor (latest firmware is installed).  2) the white point color of the print vinyl is not with in the specifications (The material is Orajet 3641).  I have emailed the dealer twice with no response.  Any ideas or sugestion?

Have you reapplied the firmware? The error may be a result of a firmware mismatch and reinstalling might resolve it.

Thank you for the response.  I also thought reloading the firmware might help, but have not found any documentation on how to do it. If you can direct me, I would be appreciative.  Thanks again.

I have never updated a Latex model, but the user guide http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05269091.pdf states to copy the firmware file to a USB key and restart the plotter with the key installed and then follow the instructions. On any other HP device it will prompt saying you are reinstalling the same firmware but allow you to do that. Often components have a chip on them that gets updated at the same time and hopefully the color reader is one of them.
