Some printers are better at Poster printing than others.
In general, the result is better with a printer that allows for even margins all around .
This "even margin" preference usually discounts using a DeskJet printer though if you create all margins no less than 12.7mm (1/2 inch), the results might be usable.
HP Smart (Windows) does not include a Percent of 100% print option. There are some options to manage size but they are not intended for precise sizing.
HP Smart (Mobile) can print in "original" size but cannot manage Poster printing.
More to the point, printers that can print decently in Poster format, do usually require that the full solution / full driver printer software be (already) installed.
Without regard to the unknown printer model, Paint (Microsoft) can express a Poster option for Photo / Image files -- the results should be fine.
