paper stops half way thru  printer

Do you get any error messages or does the paper simply stop and the printer act like the job is completed?

Error mess. paper not detected

Either the optical sensor on the carriage is dirty (common) and needs to be cleaned or the OOPS sensor in the paper path is stuck or has failed.
