I am trying to scan a large format plan on HP Designjet T830. However, the screen does not respond to allow me to give any command. The screen only stays on the home page, where the options to insert paper, copy, scan, and print are to be found. Sometimes it jumps by itself to inform me on the screen that there is no paper. The specific message I get is "Status: not ready. All paper sources are out of paper". This, in spite of the fact that I only want to scan rather than print. I have tried to switch the machine off and totally disconnect it from power for a while before switching it on again but nothing changes. I can however print from my computer (not through a command issued on the touchscreen). What could the problem be and how do I get it sorted out please?
