Trio C60-M

We are experimenting with setting up a C60 in usb optimized mode.  When a Trio that has the latest Frimware version 8.1.3.1300 gets plugged into our Win 10 laptops, a software update starts that eventually reboots the device into firmware version 7.2.1.1975.  Is this typical and is the v7.2.1.1975 firmware the recommended version for usb optimized?

Hello @JoeD1270 ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

Our Partner Microsoft has the ability to update devices via their OS. They decide which OS they host as the latest even when HP Poly shares potentially later builds.

From our UC (former Microsoft FAQ):

Apr 13, 2022 Question:How can a user prevent a Poly Trio C60 from being downgraded or upgraded from their desired software version when using a Microsoft Teams Room / MTR

?

Resolution: Please check >here<

A configuration can be imported into the Trio to prevent Microsoft Updates to downgrade the device to an earlier version.

Best Regards

Steffen Baier
