The <mac>.cfg file APP_FILE_PATH can be used to specify an alternative folder to get the sip.ld file for the IP7000 (or other model of phone). I'm wondering if there's a way to specify an alternative folder for the updater file.
For example:
<APPLICATION_SSIP7000 APP_FILE_PATH_SSIP7000="Rev4011/sip.ld"/>
This line causes the IP7k to get the firmware (3111-44500-001.sip.ld) from the Rev4011 folder. However, it still downloads the Updater file (3111-40000-001.updater.ld) from the root. So that I can test a newer firmware with together its approprate updater version, without impacting my phones in production on an older version, is there a way to have a single phone (by mac address) get both files from a specific folder?

Hello Sam,
no you cannot but you can simply specify an individual <mac>.cfg instead of using the 000000000000.cfg or point this phone to a different server / user / directory.

Hello Sam,
yes I meant more for the actual sip.ld.
The Updater itself always needs to be in the root and as mentioned to test a single phone you can always point it to a separate server.
In addition when testing simply rename the Updater file once this single phone has downloaded it so other phones cannot download it anymore.
This keeps the chance other phones rebooting and trying at the very same moment pretty slim.

Hello Sam,
you can try but as far as I know these phones are soon end of sale so I doubt we make any changes for these old phones.
Especially as I do not really see the problem with just upgrading one via a different server.
