I am trying to reconfigure/edit the soft keys on my VVX 450 Polycom phone. I am typing in the IP Address in the search engine and trying to edit the configurations this way. For instance, when I try to add "mm" (main menu) as a soft key for the dial tone parameter, I reboot it and it's on there for about 10 seconds, and then the phone reboots itself and then it cancels out the changes and goes back to the way it was before.

Even if I click the "default" on the dial tone parameter, it will work after rebooting for a few seconds, then it will reboot itself and go back to the way it was before. Basically, if I edit parameters, they will not save as the phone auto reboots after I force reboot it upon making the edit.

Below is what I know that can maybe better help you answer my question:

- There is an OBi number listed under product information on the phone

- Software Version: 6.4.5.11382 (Build:Release)

- GoogleVoice is the host (provider?)

Any troubleshooting will help.

Hello  @MackenzieST ,

Welcome to the HP community.

Your post, unfortunately, does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product and in addition, if this is using UC Software or ObiEdition you are using. This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come.

I can only assume this is ObiEdition but as we do not know who the provider is you are using we can only assume that your configuration is overwritten after the reboot.

Please provide us with sufficient details so we can try and help.

Best regards

Steffen Baier

Thank you. I am not in IT or any such department and have VERY baseline knowledge on such technical topics.

Hello  @MackenzieST ,

You would need to work with Google Support and/or your IT Team or whoever provides the phones to your organization.

Best Regards
