Hi,
We have a Cisco Catalyst 3560 PoE+ 48 port switch connecting to a newly purchased Trio 8800 conference phone and i'm trying to connect and power a Visual + box from the LAN Out port of the Trio 8800 (daisey chained). Alas i'm not getting any power to the Visual + box.
The Trio is telling me that it has detected a 13W power source. The Switch still has more than half of its avaiable power in reserve, power on the switch port is set to Auto and the PoE light on the switch port is illuminated.
The switch power supply is a 715W part numbered C3KX-PWR-715WAC
There are no other PoE+ demands on the switch.
Ethernet cables are good.
Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Hello @Rob Brien,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.
This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.
The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .
In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.
Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here
Earlier versions had an issue with this and Cisco switches so it is important to ensure the Trio is running the latest software initially.
Checking the switch may also indicate what the root cause for this is.
A working CFG from my own testswitch in my lab:
Switch#show power inline Available:124.0(w) Used:61.4(w) Remaining:62.6(w) Interface Admin Oper Power Device Class Max (Watts) --------- ------ ---------- ------- ------------------- ----- ---- Fa0/1 auto on 15.4 Polycom RealPresenc 0 30.0 Fa0/2 auto off 0.0 n/a n/a 30.0 Fa0/3 static on 30.0 Polycom RealPresenc 4 30.0 Fa0/4 auto off 0.0 n/a n/a 30.0 Fa0/5 auto on 8.0 Polycom VVX 600 4 30.0 Fa0/6 auto off 0.0 n/a n/a 30.0 Fa0/7 auto on 8.0 Polycom VVX 500 4 30.0 Fa0/8 auto off 0.0 n/a n/a 30.0
I simply added this cfg to the port:
lldp run interface FastEthernet0/3 power inline static
