IHey all,
I've jumped on the computer this morning to find the sound quality sounds like headphones do when not plugged into a jack properly.
I've run tests and it has in fact told me the only issue is headphones/speakers aren't plugged into the jack. The problem here is this is an ALL-IN-ONE and I haven't added anything extra.
I've installed all new updates and drivers and have shut down and restarted a billion times.
Nothing has changed.
I'm not very tech savvy so go easy on me in replies.
I bought this desktop 3 months ago.
Please help,
Voncrumble

Sounds slightly similar to the issue I'm having... feels to me like something in a recent Windows update has messed with the HP Audio Controls app. If you go to 'About your PC' in the start menu, what version of Windows 10 are you running?
This is what I have:
Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 20H2
Installed on 15/06/2020
OS build 19042.662
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

I have come to help!! I had this same issue (which is just bloody annoying ain't it :)) and spent a few hours trying everything I normally do and I failed. So I came across it being like an outdated driver which is nifty but really hard to find, theres more solved cases with this regarding their notebooks rather than their PC's.
This is the solution that works https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktops-Archive-Read-Only/IDT-HIGH-DEFINITION-AUDIO-CODEC-and-WINDOWS...
But for me his link wasn't working (sorry Paul) and I realized he didn't give the full link which for people really good at computers is probably fine but it made my head run around then I realized how to get it and here it is if his doesn't work for you/you are confused on how to get it too: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe
Please keep in mind that this is for PC/Desktops only!
If you have a notebook the solutions are a plenty but here's a link to a solved case: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Need-quot-IDT-High-Definition-HD-Audio-Driver-quot-for/...
