Hi,

No, that port won't work, it is NOT a line in port. In many cases, this port won't accept a standalone microphone.

@hoepla

I think your machine is the following one

   http://www8.hp.com/h20195/V2/GetPDF.aspx/c05365197

I can't read the language but it only has

2 USB 2.0
2 USB 3.0
1 USB 3.0 Type-C™
1 hoofdtelefoon/microfoon combo (I think headphones/microphone)
3-in-1 geheugenkaartlezer (I think this is the memory card reader).

I don't know what is your amplifier, I think it mst have line out. One thing you may be able to try is using an USB sound card with line in. There are many around, example:

       http://computers.mwave.com.au/electronics/Usb-Sound-Card

Now you can connect line out from your amp to line in on the adapter.

Tx for your reply banhien.

I would like tu use the

headphones/mic (instead of usb) cause there's no latency then. But I can't seem to get the sound playing.

I use my amp line out to connect to it. I dont understand which settings I would have to use top hear some sound.

For record I can choose between

-microphone array

- stereo mix

or microphone

and all of these can be set as -ready, standard or standardcommunication.

And for playing I can choose between realtekhd audio or 2nd realtek hd audio

all of these can be also set as -ready, standard or standardcommunication.

I'm lost in configuration.
