My original beats audio driver has been replaced by another one since my update to Windows 10. I tried to install the IDT audio drivers for both Windows 8 and 8.1 (64 bit) but I get an error message for both that says that the driver software could not be installed because it is incompatible with the operating system.
Is there another version available that can be successfully installed or can I use the Recovery Manager and get the original one back. Unbelievable that HP and/or Microsoft would provide a generic driver that does not provide an equivalent user experience.
Any advice/guidance would be most appreciated

Thank you for the solid advice.
Did not consider getting a more recent driver but it makes sense. Still don’t know why HP would not provide a driver that would have been equivalent and compatible with my desktop model. I know that my desktop is a bit old now but Windows 10 was able to be installed so they should have provided the right driver.
Thanks again

You're very welcome.
Back in 2015 when W10 first came out, the folks at HP came up with a manufacturing cutoff date (August 2013) for W10 support.

Your PC fell short of the W10 support cutoff date since it was released to market in June of 2011.
So when you run into issues such as you did, all you can do is hope that someone who doesn't work for HP has a workable solution for you, as was the case here.
