I have a HP Slim Desktop S01-aF0134z that constantly hic-ups while playing sound or video files.  I like the unit because it is small.  I store all my music collection (approx 700g) on it and I use it to play both my music collection and downloaded movies.  It has had this problem from the time I purchased it and figured it was a RAM issue.  I upgraded the RAM to 16g with no affect, it still does it.  Additionally, I have updated all drivers, bios, etc. with no affect.  So now I believe it is either the CPU, onboard sound, or onboard video just cant keep up.  Does anyone have any ideas other than replacing the motherboard with something that can handle what I want to do?

Thank you

It actually sounds like you have a computer virus. I read at this link that viruses and malware will actually slow down your computer because they use resources on the backend. Videos and audio take more processing so it shows more.

Hope this helps.
