HP 2159m
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP 2159m that I'm using a Lenovo ThinkCentre M72e with and the monitor is supposed to have sound, but I hear nothing. I used google to find the driver, and when I clicked the HP link, it said that there were no drivers available for that product. I assumed its because i'm using VGA, so I tried a VGA to HDMI, but it still didn't work. Why isn't the sound working on the Monitor? And where can I get drivers for it?

@GabD

Given your monitor has speakers. No, VGA or VGA to HDMI won't send sound you need HDMI direct cable. The monitor has

Video inputs supported:

  • HDMI connector
  • DVI connector
  • VGA connector

Only HDMI direct give sound, If you used other cable, you definitely need another cable for sound.

Regards.
