I just updated my desktop to windows 10 from windows 8.1. I have no audio.  I worked with MS to solve this problem and it turns out the driver is not available for Windows 10 on the HP site.  MS told me to contact HP and they would manually install the driver.  Please help... I have NO sound.

this is not a model:
HP Desktop M01-F1xxx
the requested product number must look like this
Product Number: 9EE50AA # ABA
the model corresponding to this number will therefore be
HP Desktop - M01-F1033wb

I downloaded and installed https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe  and it worked after the reboot.

 

I have a very old HP Desktop, bought it with Windows 8 upgraded to Windows 8.1 and now upgraded to Windows 10.  I have external speakers.  The external speakers now work on the Windows 10 build.
