IDP: what seems to have replaced Hp Beats has found persistency on my WIN10 computer latest update.
I used to be able to just silence it by shutting it off on the Task Manager:Startup. Now it reinstalls/and is very aggressively persistent.  So I removed everything to do with it. Now I dont have sound. (Grrr!!!)  What can I replace it with?
I dont like that it was walking all over my audio manager, is there a replacement? (option)

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if installing the W10 IDT w/Beats Audio driver from a newer model HP desktop PC, also works for your model.  Restart the PC after installing the driver.

THANKYOU !!  for the speedy and accurate reply.   I got my sound back. Yay!
Now to migrate away from HP first...  then Windows will have to come soon after.   Im not a happy camper when I live in the land of the free, am a honest taxpaying U.S. American and they make me do with my paid for goods what they want me to...
...feels socialist to me...

Well, thats another story.
Thankyou again. Give yourself a raise  😉
