Hello everyone i am looking to find out if it is possible to connect a yamaha v385 5.1 surround sound receiver to an hp Pavillion 595 p0084. it only has 1 hdmi out 1 vga and line in, line out, and mic in. what would i need to accomplish this.

It specs

It has 3 color-coded ports for audio (green, pink and blue). Depending what are available on your receiver, you should be able to connect them using the right port.

Could i plug in the hdmi out from the desktop to the receiver and hdmi out from the receiver to my monitor's hdmi in.
