Recently purchased a HP Slimline So1-PF2000i, and am having trouble getting a microphone to work.
There is no pink mic input jack just a blue and green jack for audio on the back.
I have tried the front jack which is supposed to be a combined mic./audio jack but always
get told no input device connected.
Any suggestions welcome. I don't want to buy a usb or bluetooth mic. if they aren't going to work.

On many combo jacks, they do NOT support a standalone microphone. Please try a splitter for example
3.5mm Headset Adapter Y-Splitter
Regards.
