No Audio Devices on my HP Envy

After my last windows update my audio was wiped out.

There are NO audio devices, input or output, listed on my computer.  I went to the HP site and downloaded new audio drivers but they do not seem to take effect.

I have run the trouble shooters multiple times and updated windows multiple times.  The audio devices are gone, so there is nothing to update.

Please don't tell me to click the x icon on the Audio Icon and run the troubleshooter again.  Please.

You can jump to the solution marked in green and follow the steps that worked for that person.

It seems to be a very common issue with that PC model series, and if you had posted the model number initially, I wouldn't have answered your post.

I usually only answer posts when I can directly offer assistance, and unfortunately in this case, I cannot.
