No Audio output device installed - no Sound. Seems many people having same issu

Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them. IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. A device attached to the system is not functioning. 

Seems person after person on this thread is having the same issues and all the other forums I have looked on, there is no resolve from HP.

Not good enough from HP - there should be a fix in place for this!  It can't be right that nothing works, surely?!?  These are expensive pieces of equipment with beatsaudio by no one can use it!

I've been through the virtual assistant and to no avail. Even installed an independent device driver as recommended by someone on another thread however it is chargeable for it to install the audio drivers on the PC!

Help! please.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the driver I posted for this person who also has a Touchsmart 520 All In One PC AIO PC, and it worked for them...

Hi Paul, just to let you know it worked for me too!! Thank you so much, I could literally cry with relief - trying to homeschool my little one without sound meant we couldn’t listen to the online content sent by his school. Many many thanks again 👍

I need a sound driver for my HP TouchSmart 610 that will work with Windows 10 update 1909, is one available yet? I've been waiting for a while after asking HP support for a fix a few months ago. I tried the driver you suggested but it would not install because my hardware was not compatible with that driver. Just like many other customers, my sound went out after doing a Windows 10 Update. The sound driver for the beats audio in the 610 has not been updated since 2008.
