Thanks for your answer.  I didn't know what to do.  Played with it for several hours and then found your answer.  Worked great.  You're a lifesaver or should I say a computer saver.

  The the Beats control panel became non-functional (Beats control panel ran, but did not affect sound) after I upgraded my H8-1520t desktop computer from Win 8.1 Upgrade, to Win 10 Ver 1511, using the "free Win 10 upgrade" offered by Microsoft.

  Thanks to the suggestion by Paul, on this thread, I installed the SP71717.exe drivers for the IDT audio, and my Beats control panel is now functional!  I am very happy!
