Hi,
I have an old monitor (HP vs17e) with built-in audio plugged in to my Gateway desktop.
Now this is an old monitor and desktop computer that I haven't used in a while.
Used to be that I had no problem with sound and no need to plug in a headset or speakers, but now the volume icon on the right-end side of the task bar has a red x next to it and when I troubleshoot the audio, I'm told I need to plug in a headset or speaker. What's going on? Is there a driver I can download to get the sound working like it used to?
PS: This monitor is hooked to my desktop with a vga connection and since it's an old monitor, no USB ports on the monitor itself

hi
if there is a problem with the audio driver, it comes from the computer, not from the screen
so you should look on the support side of your computer to find drivers!
