HP ENVY 795-0535nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Since yesterday my Nvidia ports for headphone and external speakers are greyed out and don't function anymore. I only get sound from my HDMI screenspeakers.

I have latest drivers installed. Just went dead from one day to the other.

Welcome to HP Forums!

I have a few steps to help you out:

If you've already checked with an alternate headphones or speaker and yet the issue persists, I suggest you reinstall the audio drivers from the device manager and when done, restart the computer to check if that works, if the issue persists, please update the audio drivers, BIOS, and the Chipset drivers (as this has nothing to do with your graphics card as that seems to be working while it produces sound via HDMI) Click here to find and install the same.

Let me know how that pans out,

If you feel I was helpful, simply click on Accept as Solution to help the community grow,

That said, I will have someone follow-up on this to ensure you've been helped,

Just in case you don't get back to us within 24 - 48hrs, and have a good day, ahead.

Hi tried all that, nothing fixed the problem.

Fount the solution though: I changed the driver to a universal driver from Microsoft, sound is back.

Seems to be a problem with the Conexant drivers. I tried 3 different versions, none worked.

When I changed to the Microsoft drive I didn't even have to restart the pc, the line out in the back en the phone jack in the front immediatly worked!
