Have you checked for updates to the driver via device manager? If you have to no avail, then you may want to uninstall and reinstall the driver, if you can- I have no idea why it would simply not have a PowerMgnt at all...

I've attached a picture of my regedit for reference.

Thanks,

I have just bought HP M01-F0021 desktop and the popping has been driving me mad , changing 0 to 1 in Regedit worked for me !

Me too 2/15/2020 returned and the new one on 4/6/2020, same problem

I used USB to 3,5mm audio jack adaptor, no more popping sounds which is caused by audio switching on and off, it is some kind of power saving setting, the popping noise will happen when you say open an app that uses sound.

Thank you, I did this, so far no more pop it has only been 30 minutes so far but by now I would have heard at least one or more pops, i'll give an update in a few days.

@DAVID2021 Switching to Microsoft HD audio driver helped.others, you may want to uninstall the existing audio drivers and restart the computer,

the same would automatically reinstall the audio drivers for the device.

Step 1: Use Windows + X and select device manager.

Step 2: Select the arrow next to "Sound, video and game controllers", then, Right-Click and uninstall everything under it.

Step 3: Restart the computer once done.

Step 4: Let me know if that worked.

P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉
