Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently I started hearing random beeps from the computer. These beeps are only heard when the pc speakers are connected, not from the actual computer. The sound doesn't occur at startup. Only while the computer sits idle. First it started as 3 beeps  and then stops. Now I hear 5 beeps and then it stops. What is causing these random sounds. Is there something wrong with my computer? Any information would be a great help

@Orangebeast55 -- when the computer is idle, do the fans stop spinning, causing the processor to overheat, and triggering those "beeps" ?
