@missile123, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If the real high definition (HD) auto volume on your HP ENVY Curved All-in-One is adjusting on its own without any improvement after troubleshooting, here are a few steps you can follow to address this issue:

Check Sound Settings:

  • Ensure that any sound enhancement features, such as auto volume or equalizer presets, are configured correctly. You can find these settings by right-clicking on the sound icon in the system tray, selecting "Sounds", and then checking the "Playback" tab for your default audio device. Click "Properties" and review the enhancements tab.

Update Audio Drivers:

  • Ensure that your audio drivers are up to date. You can do this by visiting the HP support website, entering your computer's model number, and downloading the latest audio drivers for your specific model.

Disable Third-Party Software:

  • If you have any third-party audio management software installed, try disabling or uninstalling it to see if that resolves the issue. Sometimes these programs can interfere with the system's audio settings.

Check Physical Connections:

  • Ensure that all audio cables and connections are secure. A loose connection can sometimes lead to volume fluctuations.

Use System Restore:

  • If the issue began recently, consider using the System Restore feature to roll back your computer's settings to a point where the volume management was working correctly.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi Garp,

Many thanks for your comprehensive reply.

I had checked all the drivers and they were all "latest" per windows update, before posting.

Strangely issue seems to have resolved itself, but I shall file your post in case it happens again.

Hope you have a great weekend, Bob.

Hey @missile123,

Thank you for your response

You can always follow these steps:

To download drivers for your HP product, follow these steps:

Identify Your Product: Find the product name and model number of your HP device. This information is usually located on the product itself or in the documentation that came with it.

Visit the HP Support Website:

Enter Product Information:

  • In the search bar, input your product name, model number, or serial number. Click "Submit" or "Find" to proceed.

Select Your Operating System:

  • From the list of available options, choose your operating system. If you are unsure, the website may offer to detect it for you automatically.

Browse the List of Drivers:

  • You will see a list of drivers and software related to your device. Browse through the selection and identify the drivers you need.

Download the Drivers:

  • Click on the download link next to the drivers you need. Follow any additional prompts to save the file to your computer.

Install the Drivers:

  • Once downloaded, locate the file on your computer, open it, and follow any installation instructions provided.

Please be advised: I purchased CCleaner. I have updated all my drivers and optimised performance.
That seems to have fixed my volume issue and PC is running a lot quicker.
