What do you recommend to greatly amplify the volume on the all-in-one? The sound is so weak and puny, I would have never bought this had I known,

@Elle371, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If you find the audio output on your HP All-in-One Desktop PC 27-cb1000i to be limited, there are several ways you can improve or amplify the sound:

Adjust System Volume and Sound Settings:

  • Ensure that the system volume settings are maximized. You can adjust this by clicking on the speaker icon in the system tray and moving the slider up.
  • Check the sound settings in the operating system to make sure there are no restrictions or low settings for volume output.

Use External Speakers:

  • Consider connecting external speakers or a soundbar to your All-in-One. Most modern external speakers can be easily connected via USB, Bluetooth, or the headphone jack available on the PC.

Audio Enhancement Software:

  • Use audio enhancement software that can help improve the sound quality and volume. Software like VLC Media Player and Equalizer APO can increase the volume output beyond the default system settings.

Check for Driver Updates:

  • Ensure that you have the latest audio drivers installed for your PC. You can download and update drivers from the HP Support website.

Speaker Placement:

  • The position of the built-in speakers can sometimes affect the quality of sound. Ensure the speakers are unobstructed and not covered.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
