I have KLISPCH pro media 2.1 thx speakers. They sounded great on my old PC. On new HP win 11 PC they sound like junk. drivers are updated. HP support and KLISPCH support are blaming each other. Please Help, I miss my awesome sounding speaker system.

Hi  @Rockman26,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how it must feel to have your Klipsch speakers not sounding the way they used to.

Could you please share the exact model number of your HP PC?

Here are a few things you can try:

  1. Sound settings check: Right‑click the speaker icon in your taskbar → Sound settings → ensure your Klipsch speakers are set as the default output device.
  2. Enhancements toggle: In Sound Control Panel → Playback devices → select your speakers → Properties → Enhancements tab. Try disabling all enhancements to see if clarity improves.
  3. Driver rollback: Even though drivers are updated, sometimes the newest version isn’t the best fit. In Device Manager → Sound, video and game controllers, right‑click your audio driver and choose Roll Back Driver if available.
  4. Audio format adjustment: In the same Properties window under Advanced, experiment with different sample rates (e.g., 16‑bit, 44.1 kHz vs 24‑bit, 48 kHz).
  5. HP Support Assistant: Run the built‑in diagnostics tool to check if the system detects any audio conflicts.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
