I have an Omen laptop with two hard drives (one is an SSD) and last night I started getting the 3F2 error. I ran and Passed ALL the Components tests and executed the BIOS Rollback a few times. I’m still getting the 3F2 error. Help!

Do not make any bios update changes with with any disk or component problems.

What disk had the problem?   You laptop show a picture like this?

Please provide the Product ID or exact model name for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol. This code may be needed to find cloud recovery files.

there could also be a firmware update to just the m.2 driver.

Thank you for replying!

This is a OMEN Laptop 15-dc0xxx

I am not sure which drive the 3F2 error is for. How would I determine that?

(And I also have a BMW motorcycle. Fun fact.)

Some PCs show it  as part of the UEFI diagnostics

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/186582iDC1A88425E390F98/image-size/large?v=v...

May need newest UEFI?

HP releases newer UEFI diagnostics periodically.
When you select F2 during boot you are requesting UEFI diagnostics.
There is an updated diagnostics package Click Here
Look for the phrase 'issues outside the OS',
Expand the'+'symbol and click the DOWNLOAD button.
The version of the UEFI diagnostics is shown at the left of that DOWNLOAD button.
When you press F2 to run diagnostics please ensure the version is the new one.

Possible firmware upgrade for your SSD  m.2 but I do not know which one was installed when system was built.

Go here and select windows 10 and click on the blue "Open all" and scroll down to Firmware (4) and pick on of the SSD that matches what you have.  Generic Samsung, WesternDigital and Seagate SSD firmware is here

see if a firmware update fixes the problem else you need to get a new m.2 ssd

Possibly you have HP part L24339-001 which is none of the above.

You might want clone you 128gb to a 1tb or better PCIe3x4 if your drive is out of warranty and is small like 128

My one and only trip to Halifax I went on the HMCS Halifax (docked), discovered MooseHead beer (hard to find here) and saw a lot of motorcycles tarped up waiting for summer weather.  Sea trials on the HMCS  Toronto were at San Diago.  It was warm weather but the skipper did not want to pay dock fees so I had to climb down a rope ladder to a small boat to get back to land.
