Are you sure? I pulled one out of the compueter and it has the same numbers as the one I linked, besides the ones after CH9, and it looks exactly the same.

Maybe there's more kinds of HP Compaq 6200s? I looked up the computer I bought and it said it was a HP Compaq 6200 SFF. I also looked up the difference between ECC and non ecc, and the ram stick I have has 9 of the black little boxes on it

The memory with 9 chips on it shouldn't be working.

Here is the link to the quickspecs...The memory specs are on page 6.

It's your PC.  You have the right to buy any memory you want.

If you want to buy the same memory chip you have, go for it.

I think that's a different type of computer. Mine is the smaller one.

The quickspecs link includes the MT and SFF which is shown on page 1.

I have given you all the help that I can.

Have a good night.

Ok, thank you. I guess I'll get the one you said and see if that works.

You're very welcome.

Hello I’m having the same problem I buyers a new motherboard and new ram ddr3 8gb on 2 motherboards I’m having the same problem I reseated the memory in both motherboards and still having the same problem

It turns out my ram wasn't pushed in all the way. Make sure when you're reseating it that it clicks. Don't be afraid to push it down a little hard, too. Ram is pretty tough.
