HP Pavilion 590-p0066
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm getting these errors several times a day in my event viewer - I've run the HP diagnostic software. both short and extended tests and everthing passes - I've made sure all my device drivers are up to date, I'm not sure what is going on....

Spoiler
AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to read from an illegal IO port address (0x75), which lies in the 0x74 - 0x76 protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

I'm performing an in place upgrade right now to see if that helps...I'm afraid it may be a warning to a premature hardware failure - Also I have updated to the latest UEFI Bios Firmware (F.20) I believe the version is.

Any help would be greatlyl appeciated.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant:

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I installed the HP Diagnostc program, it found one driver that needed to be updated, which was the media card reader. So I uodated that, rebooted the computer (alhout it didn't ask for it) - but before i rebooted, I cleared all my windows 10 logs.

I then ran every troubleshooter/optimization./diagnostic program located wihin the HP Diagnostic Sotware, and sitll getting the same error.

I would have never downloaded this software if I would have known all the bloatware included with it.

any other ideas? I don't appreciate the popups that frequently remind me to extend my warranty.

If you have previously registered, you do not need to register again.

Please follow the instructions below to discontinue warranty registration pop-ups.

Windows: Navigate to "Start"->"Programs"->"Accessories"->"System Tools" and click on "Task Scheduler." When the task folder appears, delete any entry that starts with "Webreg" (i.e., "Webreg 20031218...") And also you will have to uninstall the HP Support Assistant if you want to remove the HP Warranty Check.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
