HP All-in-One - 22-df0018na

Hi, my all-in-one went to loop and I'm not able to access BIOS menu to do reset. Is stuck on HP BIOS update failed screen. I did try all keyboard combinations and none of them works. Because of that I'm not able to use BIOS recovery flash drive. Please help.

Hi:

Please see this discussion...

You need to make a BIOS recovery drive with the F.41 BIOS update file and not the latest two that HP has.

Your PC's MonkD motherboard is the same one as in this discussion.

See the last reply by Harinder_Singh:

"Thanks Paul, but this file seems to have errors...sp145453 and sp143666, Unable to make USB recovery flash drive, that's why when these updates are coming and people getting them installed are getting stuck in a BIOS update fail loop. Hence, on the basis of my exploitation SP141980 was fine, with this i was able to create BIOS recovery flash drive and finally restored BIOS and break the loop of BIOS update fail."

Link to the F.41 BIOS update.

The is link explains how to create a BIOS recovery flash drive.

I've already provided the BIOS file you need, which is good for either W10 or W11.

Watch the video.

I believe the file will format the flash drive as needed.

I now have the flash drive but I still not able to access BIOS menu on my pc.

Unfortunately, I can't help you with the process.

I have never done it before.

Maybe you can ask one of these other folks who followed the information I posted and fixed the corrupted BIOS' with no problem--or Mr. Singh in the discussion I posted.

Thank you anyway for your help today. I have download HP Clouad Recovery Tool to prepare USB flash drive. Will check if this will work.

You're very welcome.

The HP cloud recovery tool will only factory reset the hard drive, not repair the BIOS, and if the BIOS is corrupted, I doubt you will be able to do anything with it.

Hi, again:

I did find this other document which provides a different method to recover the BIOS with the USB recovery drive.

HP Desktop PCs - Recovering the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) | HP® Customer Support

Last section.  There is a video at the very bottom of the page that describes how to do this on a notebook PC, and since it is included under the desktop link, perhaps it works the same way.
