I want to boot to a USB drive to restore my logon password? but I cant work out how to change the Boot sequance I need step by step guide can anyone help please

Hi:
You shouldn't need to change the boot sequence.
Plug your password reset USB flash drive in the USB port.
Turn on or restart the PC.
Tap the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to get the menu of options.
Select the F9 boot options menu, and from that, select the USB flash drive, and press the Enter key.
The PC should then boot from the USB flash drive.
On older model PC's you just tap the F9 key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to get the boot options menu.
I just don't know where the cut is (where HP switched from F9 to ESC then F9), so try both methods.
One of them should work.
